Large Consulting Firm Redesign

I was tasked with putting together a proposal for this large consulting firm redesign. I asked the account manager what some of the biggest challenges were with the site. “No one can find any of the content.  They have great white papers and research but no one can find it.” I went to work first on going through and doing a quick content audit in sitemap form just to get a handle on the content.  Then re-organized it for find-ability. From there, I researched competitors and laid out the site.  I added a video page because the firm had a bunch of videos over on YouTube that no one knew about. I created a home page that highlighted top stories, the CTO’s blog (he was one of the first execs to blog), and added news, video, and a link to hiring (a lot of college students (MBA’s) look to work for this firm.  The proposed site redesign was done in two weeks and so well liked that we won the bid.
